Hartford Police Confirm May 2 Shooting Victim

HARTFORD — Hartford Police have confirmed the indentity of a May 2 homicide victim.

The victim, Jarrell Warmington, 21, of  an unknown address in Hartford died yesterday after his body absorbed seven gunshot wound, police said.

Warmington died after he was taken to St. Francis Hospital, police said.

His fatal death followed shortly after Hartford police officers responded to a report of an individual suffering from a gunshot would at the Kentucky Friday Chicken at 779 Albany Ave., Hartford.  The call came in on Monday at about 11:30 p.m., police said.

On arrival officers found Warmington suffering from several gunshot wounds.  He was immediately transported to St. Francis Hospital where he was pronounced deceased, police said.

According to police, initial investigation the indicates the incident may have involved two suspects described as Black males, 21-22 years of age, one 5’10’, 160 lbs, wearing a black leather coat, and the second, 6’1″, 175 lbs., wearing a black/blue fitted baseball cap.
