Hartford Police Arrest Suspect for Stolen Car

HARTFORD — Hartford Police on Wednesday arrested a Hartford man for allegedly stealing a white Subaru Legacy from Newington.

Jonathan Rivera, 25, of 31 Mortson St. in Hartford was arrested for second degree larceny, taking a motor vehicle without owner’s permission, and operating a motor vehicle without endorsement.

According to police, Rivera was caught after he drove the stolen vehicle to court to answer for another stolen car. The suspect parked the car, which was a 2014 white Subaru Legacy, with another set of plates that belonged to another reportedly stolen car in February.

When Rivera entered the car and tried to drive away, he was apprehended by police officers.
